STAYING MINDFUL DURING THIS PANDEMIC

There’s too much going around. Seems like one is witnessing the hell before going to. The COVID has affected each sector at its worst. The death is innumerable. There’s a scarcity of oxygen cylinders. This pandemic has taken a toll on the country’s economy too. It’s quite impossible for a country like India to declare complete lockdown all over once again. It would be even harder for the laborers/ workers that work on daily wages.

Well, there’s a good deal of truth in the saying, “EVERY CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING”. Undoubtedly the situation this time is worse than the previous year but at the same time, it’s different too. When the spread of this virus (COVID 19) was new, the world wasn’t aware of what it was. There was hubbub all around. Back then, the world wasn’t prepared for such a pandemic. The complete lockdown was a need of that hour. Making countrymen aware at such short notice wasn’t possible. But this time, there’s too much known about this virus. By god’s grace, many effective vaccines have come into the picture. The citizens of age group forty-five (45) and above have undergone the first dose of vaccination too. Having the vaccine being injected doesn’t mean that the crowd can roam around freely. After being vaccinated too, there’s a need to stay indoors and wear masks whenever out. The positive aspect about being vaccinated is that the seriousness of this illness has somewhat being hampered and cent percent it would not take a toll on individuals life.

The death in tremendous numbers are more due to the mindset of infected individuals. There’s too much negativity all around. “Once infected, death assured”. This mindset is even worsening the situation. There’s no denial in the fact that the disease is quite lethal. At the same, this isn’t true for each individual. Unavailability of beds, hospital expenses is yet another matter of concern. At the same, this isn’t true for each individual. The infected individual can quarantine himself/ herself in the home too, if the infection isn’t that serious. Via online consultation, the patients can stay in touch with doctors. Instead of thinking about death and further consequences, one should try to have a positive outlook. Having leisure in hand, one can read good books, watch web series, meditate, talk to their loved ones, play online games, and many more.

The other family members should definitely maintain a distance of a minimum of 2 meters but the infected individual shouldn’t be boycotted/ ignored. There are many other ways too of expressing gratitude. One could cook delicious but healthy food for the concerned. One should not panic and rush to the hospital until and unless there’s an urgency. Once admitted, the relatives are not allowed to meet the patient. The management is definitely right on their part. The entire nation is busy blaming the government, cursing the prime minister. To be honest, there’s nothing great about it. The second wave arose not because of the central government but because there was carelessness at the individual level too. One should gargle regularly with warm water, drink turmeric milk and kadha regularly, wash their hands, and sanitize their surroundings regularly. In short, one should follow all the steps that are needed to boost one’s immunity.

Being aware of the scenario is a quality of a good countryman but there’s no need to dive in the same. Don’t stick to the news channels too much. The media is always there to hype up the situation. It would take a toll on your mental peace. Instead of looking out for the death number, search out the ways the hamper the situation. Instead of comparing oneself to a prisoner locked in their homes, try to have a positive outlook on the situation. Before all this happened, we all were busy in our own lives. We had no time to talk to our loved ones, to spend quality time with our family. We all used to wait for a day or two to cherish the moments with our loved ones. This online world has given us an opportunity to create some good memories, to nourish our bonds, to know them more. No one knows what would happen next. Life is quite uncertain. Let’s not waste time thinking about the mishappenings that might occur, rather let’s live this precious moment to the fullest. Scientists, doctors, government, all are on their toes to defeat this pandemic. Let’s not be an additional burden for them. Let’s lessen their burden by taking good care of our own self.

WE ARE TOGETHER IN THIS PANDEMIC AND WE WOULD DEFINITELY EMERGE AS THE WINNER!!!!!!

GO CORONA GO!!
